About

A ministry born in Désarmes, serving all of Haiti.

Our Story

Société Chrétienne d’Haiti (SCH — Christian Society of Haiti) is a nonprofit charitable organization founded in 2000 by the Reverend Odanis Joseph. Our ministry has its headquarters in the town of Désarmes, a suburb of Verrettes Commune in the Artibonite Region of Haiti. SCH was licensed as an NGO in 2017.

SCH consists of seventeen like-minded churches whose pastors serve under the leadership of Reverend Odanis, who also serves as bishop of the SCH church in Désarmes.

Mission

Sharing Christ’s love with Haiti

SCH exists to share the passion and love of Jesus Christ throughout Haiti with a particular focus on remote underserved rural communities. We train and raise up men and women of strong Christian faith who become leaders in their communities and work to elevate the conditions of the poor.

Vision

A united, hopeful Haiti

A Haiti united across social and economic classes — with a new attitude of compassion, participation, and determination in every citizen. Where community violence is a thing of the past and every child has the opportunity to grow, learn, and dream.

  • Improve conditions for children and families
  • Create learning opportunities for youth, girls and boys in the poorest communities
